well to be honest i am more of a summer person compared to winter. while i am writing this article post, “winter is coming” in australia but it is summertime in india. most of my recipes are aligned to the seasons in india and hence i posting these unique 6 summer drinks recipes. i was getting several requests to post-summer recipes and summer drinks were on high priority. yet i wanted to post something healthy and particularly no sugar recipes. these days most of the beverages available in stores including the fruit-based are loaded with sugar. these are obviously good to taste but leaves deposits of sugar quantity to our body. during the entire summer season, we generally consume these drinks almost every day, hence i would heavily recommend making these easy refreshing fruit drinks at home and serve it to your friends and family.

furthermore, some more additional tips, suggestions and variations to the 6 summer drinks recipes. firstly, in this post, i have show 5 different fruit juices and the last one dedicated to mixed fruit juice. technically you can use almost any summer season fruits and prepare the same juice without sugar and top it up with mint leaves, pepper and honey. secondly, try to use sweet and ripe fruits to prepare the beverage drink. sour fruits are good but may not be liked and may also require sugar to balance the flavour. hence it is better to avoid those. lastly, i would not recommend preparing the juice in advance and refrigerate it. it is quick and easy to prepare these beverages perhaps with some ice cubes as it would be more refreshing.

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

  • 2 tbsp sabja seeds, soaked

for orange juice:

  • 1 orange
  • 1 cup coconut water
  • few ice cubes

for mocktail:

  • ½ cup pineapple
  • ½ cup watermelon
  • ½ cup mango
  • 1 cup water

how to make mango juice:

  • firstly, in a blender take 1 mango, 1 cup coconut water, few mint and few ice cubes.
  • blend to smooth making sure everything is well combined.
  • further, pour the mango juice into a glass and enjoy with ice cubes.

how to make watermelon juice:

  • firstly, in a blender take 1½ cup watermelon. make sure there are no seeds.
  • add ½ lemon juice, few mint, ¼ tsp pepper powder and few ice cubes.
  • blend to smooth making sure everything is well combined.
  • filter the juice to get rid of the pulp.
  • further, pour the watermelon juice into a glass and enjoy with ice cubes.

how to make pineapple juice:

  • firstly, in a blender take 1½ cup pineapple, 1 tbsp honey and ¼ tsp pepper powder.
  • further, add a few ice cubes.

how to make wonder melon:

  1. firstly, in a blender jar take 1 cup watermelon and chilled water.
  2. blend well. you can also use coconut water in place of water.
  3. in glass take a few watermelon pieces, 2 tbsp lemon juice and crush.
  4. also add crushed ice, lemon slice, pepper powder and ¼ tsp black salt.
  5. pour the watermelon juice and mix well.
  6. finally, enjoy wonder melon drink chilled.

how to make cucumber coolant:

  1. in a blender jar take ½ cup cucumber, a few mint and chilled water.
  2. blend smooth and keep aside.
  3. in glass take crushed ice, ¼ tsp cumin powder, ¼ tsp black salt, 1 tsp sugar, 2 tbsp lemon juice and 2 tbsp sabja seeds.
  4. pour prepared cucumber juice and mix well.
  5. finally, enjoy cucumber coolant drink chilled.

how to make masala jeera:

  1. firstly, take ¼ cup jeera in a thick bottomed pan.
  2. dry roast on low flame until it turns smoky aromatic.
  3. cool completely, and grind to a fine jeera powder.
  4. to prepare the drink, in glass take ice cubes, 1 tsp cumin powder.
  5. also, add ¼ tsp black salt and 2 tbsp lemon juice.
  6. pour in chilled water and mix well.
  7. finally, enjoy masala jeera drink chilled.

  • firstly, i have not added sugar, if you prefer adding sugar then you can add it.
  • also, coconut water and honey has a natural sweetness and enhance the flavour.
  • additionally, you can mix and match with fruits of your choice.
